In our state-of-the-art building of 474,863 m², our technical colleagues make an essential contribution. They ensure that Erasmus MC has power, that malfunctions are resolved, that water installations function properly, and that the building remains safe and future-proof. Without real estate and technology, there would be no healthcare, research, or education.

With more than 73 football fields worth of technical infrastructure, 20,000 malfunctions per year, no less than 17 km of pneumatic tube systems, and energy consumption equal to that of the municipality of Barendrecht, the technical challenges at Erasmus MC are immense. The combination of brand-new and older technical installations ensures that it is never boring.
