About ENERCON
ENERCON has been one of the technological leaders in the wind energy sector for 40 years. As the first wind turbine manufacturer, the company used a gearless drive concept that is characteristic of all ENERCON wind turbines. ENERCON also leads the way in other areas, such as our rotor blade design, our control technology, and our grid connection technology, proving its innovative strength time and again with its wide range of technological new developments.
We are a growing organization with 22.000 colleagues worldwide. The headquarter of R&D is in Aurich (Germany). In the Netherlands, we employ around 300 colleagues within a wide range of disciplines. Our R&D offices are in Barneveld and Terschuur. Besides those two locations we have various other locations in the Netherlands, where we have been successful for 25 years.

Energy for the World – a Mission that has never been more Relevant
Energy for the world. This was the idea that spurred Aloys Wobben on as he developed his first wind turbine back in 1984 in Germany. Even when faced with opposition, he continued to back his idea, which is more relevant now than ever before. His aim was always to make energy supply more independent and to use renewable energy to achieve social progress while also playing a significant role in preserving the natural resources on which we all rely. In this age of climate change, rising energy demands and dependence on imported fossil fuels, we are stepping up with our products to provide technical solutions for a sustainable future and a successful energy transition.

Student profile

Are you an ambitious starter with a passion for technology, wind energy and engineering? Are you looking for a challenge to start your career where you get the chance to develop yourself into a fully-fledged Mechanical Engineer, Software Engineer or perhaps in the future into a Project Manager? Then you should apply for one of our Traineeships!

What do we ask of you?
• A completed technical education at HBO or WO level, for example Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or a similar study.
• A strong interest in software development or mechanical engineering and the ambition to further develop yourself in this.
• Eager to learn, proactive and a hands-on mentality.
• Good communication skills in both Dutch and English are a requirement.
• Experience with programming languages and software development is a plus, not a requirement.
Experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Siemens NX) is a plus, but not a requirement.
• Driven to develop yourself into a skilled Software or Mechanical Engineer.

Next to our traineeships we offer internships for example for Mechanical Engineers, Software Engineers, Electrical Engineers but also for other job functions.
