HortiHeroes is an innovation platform for the Dutch Horticulture industry. We supercharge innovation by joining forces with over 100+ companies from startups to corporates in the Food & Flower industry.
We are a magnet for talent and technology with our activities, fieldtrips, hackathons, and inspiring (network)events. And with our training programs and incompany offerings, we ensure that talent develops into the action heroes the sector so desperately needs: innovators working towards creating a future-proof sector and world, whilst also growing personally.
HortiHeroes builds an innovation ecosystem from World Horti Center in Naaldwijk, The Netherlands, to create more impact on a greener world, with fewer resources. As an innovation accelerator, it addresses the sector's need to attract, connect, and develop young talent.
Talent—students, professionals, entrepreneurs, and startup and scale-up founders—drives innovation in the Food & Flower industry. They create new technologies and business models and ensure their success through their own companies or within their organisations.

At HortiHeroes, we focus on attracting, connecting, and developing talent and technology in and for the Food & Flower industry. By talent, we mean students, startups, and enterprising (young) professionals. They are the driving force behind innovation in the Food & Flower industry (horticultural chain). They develop new technologies and business models—while studying, through their own companies, or at the organizations where they work.
Six years after our start, more than 200 professionals have participated in our training programs, we support 14 startups in their mission, and we have grown to 4,500 online followers. Each year, we welcome 500+ participants to our events and field trips, spanning locations from Lisbon to Berlin and from Eindhoven to Delft.
